A lot of free NCLEX pages hand you a dozen questions and then ask for a card. During our open beta the opposite is true — the full bank is open, and these are the parts that matter.
- An original NGN question bank
Practice patient scenarios and a range of Next Gen question formats. Use each explanation to think through the reasoning behind your choice.
- All seven NGN item types
Multiple choice, select-all-that-apply and select-N, matrix, cloze (drop-down), highlight, bow-tie, and trend items. Review the feedback for each format as you practice.
- A full rationale on every answer
Each question explains why the right answer is right and why each distractor is wrong, in plain language — so a miss teaches you something instead of just costing a point.
- An AI tutor on every miss
Flo, the built-in nurse-tutor, walks you through any answer you find confusing — ask why a distractor was tempting, or how the reasoning would change if a vital sign shifted.
Give each question a little more attention.
Answer, then read — always
The value of a practice question is mostly in the minute after you answer it. Pick your answer, commit, then read the rationale whether you were right or wrong. A correct guess you don't understand is a miss waiting for a worse day, and the rationale is where the learning happens.
Mix the formats
Don't camp on multiple choice because it feels familiar. The NGN formats — bow-tie, matrix, highlight, cloze, trend — are scored with partial credit and reward a different kind of reading. Rotate them into every session so the mechanics stop costing you attention on test day.
Let your misses set the agenda
After each block, look at what you missed rather than how many. A cluster of misses in one Client Needs category is a study plan handed to you; scattered misses across several topics are a reason to revisit both your content knowledge and how you read the question. Steer your next sessions toward whatever the pattern shows.
Leave time for the explanation. That is where a wrong answer can become something useful.
